Teen short storyWant book containing a short story about a self-conscious girl who is walked home from school event by uber-popular boy who tells her he'll call her. She knows he won't. Think short story is called "Seventeen" but don't know author. "...the snow crunched like Cracker Jacks" is a memorable line.

Crusades - female author pub c 1965-1980I read a great non-fiction about the Crusades, likely published 1965-1980 and about 300-400-ish pages. Physically a red hardback. The thing that sticks on my mind was that the author was female.
