OK, we all love Hedgie the Hedgehog, and I'm glad he has starred in his own books. I am also aware that any book involving talking animals is a fantasy. I was a bit put off by this book, though - it's getting a bit ridiculous with Hedgie; I enjoy the down-to-earth, nature- or baryard-set stories by Brett. The book is gorgeous and sparkly, though, so your child will probably love it.
